TI - Cameroon
Transparency International Cameroon (TI-Cameroon) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion of transparency, accountability, integrity, and the fight against corruption in Cameroon. As the national chapter of Transparency International, TI-Cameroon provides technical support to citizens, civil society organizations, public institutions, and other stakeholders to strengthen governance systems and promote accountability.
Governance and Anti-Corruption Advisory Support
TI-Cameroon provides technical expertise on anti-corruption frameworks, integrity systems, and governance reforms. This includes guidance on transparency mechanisms, public accountability standards, ethics and integrity practices, and anti-corruption strategies in line with national laws and international conventions.
Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening
TI-Cameroon strengthens the capacities of civil society organizations, journalists, youth groups, and public actors through structured trainings, workshops, and mentorship. Key thematic areas include:

3. Public finance transparency and budget monitoring

Research, Monitoring, and Evidence Generation
TI-Cameroon conducts research, surveys, and monitoring activities to identify corruption risks and governance challenges across sectors. The organization generates credible data and analysis to inform advocacy actions, policy recommendations, and constructive engagement with decision-makers.
Advocacy and Legal Advice to Citizens
Through its Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre (ALAC), TI-Cameroon provides technical guidance to citizens on reporting corruption, understanding administrative procedures, and seeking redress through lawful channels. This mechanism empowers citizens to safely and responsibly demand accountability.
Policy Dialogue and Multi-Stakeholder Engagement
TI-Cameroon facilitates structured dialogue between public institutions, civil society, the private sector, and development partners. The organization provides technical input for consultations, policy reviews, and reform processes aimed at improving transparency and accountability in public governance.
Youth, Community, and Grassroots Support
Recognizing the role of citizens and young people in driving change, TI-Cameroon provides technical mentoring and strategic support to youth-led and community-based initiatives that promote integrity, civic engagement, and anti-corruption action at the grassroots level.
